Haringey Council has a new plan to create ‘nature recovery zones’ and is going to do this by planting wildflower meadows, and educating and engaging the public through events. The techniques used and the evidence gathered will help the council in future biodiversity projects.
We are very excited that one of their pilot projects is to be on Muswell Hill Playing Fields just next to Coldfall Wood!

At the moment the plan is to sow the first wildflower seeds at the beginning of April and we will be looking for helpers. And watch out for scarecrows made by local children to keep the birds from eating all the seeds!
