We have two wonderful walks coming up in May and June.
On Sunday 21st May from 2pm to 4pm we have Ivana Grant’s Fun in the Forest event, for children aged 5-11 with an accompanying adult. All materials will be provided.
We plan to set off for a nature walk using ID sheets to identify as many plants as we can along the way. We will then be making nature weaving looms whilst learning how to make a special square lashing knot to make a weaving frame. If time allows, we plan to finish off our walk with a fun woodland game. So come with your little ones for some fun in Coldfall Woods.
The event is run by Ivana Grant, a local Forest School leader and a primary school teacher who has been working with local community for over 10 years.
On Sunday 11th June we have Mindful Drawing with local artist Laura Fox. This is an opportunity to explore and connect with our beautiful ancient woodland in a creative way.
Laura will facilitate and guide participants through a range of drawing explorations using different medium and tools.
There will be an emphasis on being mindful and enjoying the process – results are just a bonus! – and an opportunity to produce individual and collaborative work.
For all ages and abilities (under 16s must have an accompanying adult). All materials will be provided.
